Survival of the fittest. A phrase commonly misused, even after Darwin revised it to something like: "it is neither the strongest nor most intelligent, but rather, those most adaptable to change, that survive". You see, survival is not such a complex beast; either you adapt, or you die. When a given situation changes, we adapt to it. That's how life works. I have been trying to adapt to changes, but in my heart, I know I cannot change. Call me melodramatic, call me boorish, call me whatever you like; but I know I only have one thing left to look forward to, that final step. Maybe I'll throw myself a nice going away party; there could be cake. Oh... What A Wonderful World. ![]() sunday, february 13th | 10:50 am I would like to tell you a story. Once upon a time, there lived a boy. This boy was frightened of people, and so, he spent most of his time by himself. The problem was, this meant the boy was often lonely, and this made him very unhappy. One day, this sad and lonely boy decided he didn't like this story anymore. The End. ![]() thursday, february 10th | 10:50 pm I don't even know why I bother. I mean, I don't do anything anymore. I don't go to comicbook shope or used book stores, I don't go out to brunch, or hell, even order in. I can't remember the last time I went to Coles or Gamestop. You know, it's been at least five months since I've even read a comicbook. I don't go to the movies, or the library, or for walks. I haven't played D&D since December, and I'm pretty much being cut out of any upcoming games. I just... I give up. I work, I eat, I sleep. That's it. My life has seriously gone downhill. But don't worry, in a few months I'll be moving into a place of my own, with no internet, and my cellphone contract will be expiring. So no worries, you'll be rid of me soon. ![]() |
